Locally the Chichester Festival, Arundel, Glyndebourne and Goodwood offer great days out, these being completed to perfection via your use of the services of MJ Cars.
Goodwood Racecourse is currently celebrating its third centenary, the third Duke of Richmond having introduced horse racing to his estate in 1802. Set on top of the Sussex Downs and now acclaimed internationally as one of the most beautiful racecourses in the world, Goodwood provides a breathtaking backdrop for some of the finest flat racing. It is also a super venue for entertaining. Hosting 21 days of top class horse racing throughout the season and attracting jockeys and horses from around the world, Glorious Goodwood is the pinnacle of the year for many!
Motor racing too is high on the Goodwood calendar having been introduced in 1936 by the 9th Duke of Richmond when he staged a private hill climb through the park.
This was the beginning of a saga that resulted in the First Festival of Speed being staged in 1993 in the picturesque parkland surrounding Goodwood House.
Now a key event in the motor sport social calendar, unrestricted access means close contact between world famous drivers and the hordes of spectators and admiring autograph seekers. There is fun for all including children at this festival where attractions include tank rides and driving simulators.
Over at Chichester the festival established more than 30 years ago attracts fun seeking crowds to the event which spreads of 17 fabulous days.
There is though another world famous season at the Chichester Festival Theatre when there is a unique opportunity to see productions, featuring world class stars of stage, before they become available to wider audiences in the West End and on Broadway.
